Welcome to Solent Pharmacy. These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of our services and facilities. By accessing or using our services, whether NHS or private, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

Solent Pharmacy is registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) and provides both NHS and private healthcare services to the community.
Our GPhC Registration guarantees that all services meet professional standards for safety, effectiveness, and customer care.

2. Scope of Services
At Solent Pharmacy, we offer the following services:
• NHS Dispensing Services (standard NHS prescriptions)
• Private Consultations (e.g., travel health, vaccinations, minor ailments)
• NHS Pharmacy First Services (formerly NHS CPCS)
• NHS 111 Urgent Medicine Supply (upon referral)
• Paid Medication Delivery Services (subject to terms below)
• MDS (Blister Pack) Services (eligibility required)
Important Service Exclusions:
• We do not offer a repeat prescription ordering service. Patients are responsible for requesting their own prescriptions from their GP surgery.
• We do not guarantee medication availability at all times due to stock limitations.

3. NHS 111 Urgent Medicine Supply
We participate in the NHS 111 urgent medicine supply service.
Patients may be eligible to receive an emergency supply of medicine if:
• Referred directly to Solent Pharmacy by NHS 111 via telephone or online at https://111.nhs.uk/emergency-prescription.
Please note:
• Standard NHS prescription charges apply unless you are exempt.
• The Responsible Pharmacist will assess each request on a case-by-case basis.
• There is no automatic entitlement to a supply.
Supply is strictly subject to the pharmacist’s clinical judgment and the national NHS 111 supply criteria.
• Proof of exemption must be provided where applicable.

4. Medication Delivery Service (SO15 Area Only)
We offer a paid local delivery service under the following conditions:
• Service Area: Only available within the SO15 postcode area.
• Availability: Delivery slots are subject to daily staffing and logistical capacity. Delivery on the same day or specific times cannot be guaranteed.
• Timing: Deliveries can occur at any time during working hours (9:00 am – 6:00 pm), Monday to Friday.
• Fees: Delivery charges apply; pricing will be confirmed at the time of booking.
• Risk: Once the medication has been delivered to the confirmed address, Solent Pharmacy accepts no further liability.

5. Appointments, Deposits, Cancellations, and Refunds
For private services that require appointments (such as vaccinations, consultations):
• Deposits: A deposit may be required at the time of booking.
• Cancellation Policy:
o If you cancel more than two full working days before the appointment, you will be eligible for a refund of the deposit.
o If you cancel within 24 hours of the appointment time, the deposit is non-refundable.
o "Working days" are Monday to Friday and exclude weekends and public holidays.
Refunds, if applicable, will be processed within 7–10 working days.

6. MDS (Blister Pack) Services
We provide MDS (blister pack) services for patients who:
• Meet specific NHS or private service eligibility criteria (e.g., complex medication regimens, compliance needs).
• Have limited dexterity or cognitive impairment verified by a healthcare professional.
Important Notice:
• MDS services are capacity-limited.
• Acceptance into this service is not automatic and will require an assessment.
• Please contact the pharmacy directly to discuss eligibility.

7. Data Protection and GDPR Compliance
We are committed to safeguarding your privacy and handling your data responsibly:
• Solent Pharmacy complies fully with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
• Your personal data is collected only for the purposes of delivering healthcare services, processing prescriptions, managing appointments, and meeting our legal obligations.
• We will never sell or distribute your personal data without your consent unless required by law.
• For further information about how we handle your data, you may request a copy of our Privacy Policy at any time.

8. Pharmacy First Services
We offer the NHS Pharmacy First service, which enables patients to receive treatment for minor illnesses without the need to see a GP.
Services are provided following a pharmacist's clinical assessment and are subject to NHS England guidelines.

9. Liability Disclaimer
• Solent Pharmacy makes every reasonable effort to ensure the information provided on our website, in our premises, or by our staff is accurate and up to date.
• We are not liable for any loss, injury, or damages arising from the use of our services or reliance on the information provided, except where caused by our negligence.
• We are not responsible for delays or failures to provide services arising from events outside our reasonable control (e.g., supplier shortages, adverse weather, pandemics).

10. Changes to Terms and Conditions
We reserve the right to update these Terms and Conditions without prior notice.
The latest version will always be available on our website.
It is your responsibility to review these Terms periodically.
Continued use of our services after changes have been posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

11. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
